Denon 3310ci - concerned about issues? Opinions and Recommendations?

Hey folks.

I am agonizing as I look at receivers, I can get a refurbished Denon 3310ci for just over $700 shipped with taxes. I was about to pull the trigger. It seems like a good price, but I keep reading mediocre reviews from users that are less then thrilled with their 3310ci. (Network issues, DOA, no sound, etc) My previous was a Yamaha HTR-5560 and it's never let me down. It's certainly nothing fancy :)

Are there any Denon 3310ci owners that could put my mind at ease? I don't care that the GUI isn't very friendly, I just don't want technical issues, returns, headaches. I want reliable quality.

Other considerations: Yamaha rx-v1900, (any other suggestions)

I would like to stay around the 500-700 price range, but I am pretty good at finding sales. I've been looking at receivers prices anywhere from $500 - $1500.

What I want:
HD Radio built in
100W+ per channel, more would be better
At least 5.1, 7.2 would be better.
pre-amp/amp connections
HDMI connections 1.3 (I don't plan on needing 3d in the next 5+ years)
Audyessy or similar program for room set up
A receiver that has room to grow as what we own gets better
Network capability preferred
Quality audio sound (no brainer?) for both movies and music.

I don't mind if it runs hot, it will not be enclosed.

What I have:
Wii
Ps3
Cheap DvD player for the kids (we don't let them touch the ps3)
Samsung LED slim projection tv 63"
iPod

Plan to get:
Amp
Seriously considering the OMD-15 speakers by Mirage - the full 5.1 surround set with the OMD-5s in the back. So I would like some decent power, hence the need for an amp.

Thanks. I realize some of this may just be cold feet.. this is my first real commitment to an audio system that will actually cost more then 1k all told, just a bit nervous and I want to get something I will enjoy - not regret. ;)

The 3310 is now on promotional closeout, so it can be found @ big discounts very close to your refurb price..
Also be use to get a Denon warranty with it as well..

Of all the things I looked at - the warranty was NOT one of them. Thank you for pointing this out. I found one for $8 dollars more and brand new :) worth it, I think.

Seriously, I have no life.
It's a promotional closeout because the new models for '11 are coming out.

I don't know where you have read bad reviews but as a Denon dealer, I see far fewer bad units than other models and I find the sound of Denon receivers to be basically non-existent, meaning that I don't hear any particular sonic signature, unlike some brands.
