Denon 2910 & DVD-A "issue"

I've poked around the various threads here and found the posts concerning the audio setup required for getting the 2910 to properly pass analog audio to the receiver. However, I seem to be having a issue on trying to get one of my DVD-A discs to be recoginzed by my player.

The disc in question is a dual-sided DVD recording of Tchaikovsky's 1812 overature produced by Telarc. One side has DVD-Video (DTS, Dolby Digital, and PCM stereo tracks) and the other the DVD-A data (DVD-A & 192 kHz stereo data). The issue arises when I try to play the DVD-A side. I get a message on the screen to the effect of "This isn't a DVD-A player, stupid. Play the other side."

Any thoughts on this one? I've been able to pass SACD and other DVD-A discs to my 3805 via the EXT. IN but this one is beyond me.

Denon 2910 and dual sided DVD Audio Disc's

I have the same issue with dual sided disc's. See Denon's web site FAQ"s on the 2910..Wish someone had a solution for this issue.

I've had similar bad luck with dual-discs. I had to return the Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" dual disc after trying 3 different copies. A couple of others I bought worked fine. Denon and the other manufacturers will disavow responsibility for the dual disc format, since it doesn't conform to the standard redbook CD format.
