Denon 2308/dts

I have a Pioneer DVD player hooked up to a Denon AVR-2308CI receiver. For some reason I cannot get any audio output (Just video) in DTS mode. The DVD player is DTS compatible. If anyone has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you set your Pioneer to output DTS as a bitstream (rather than PCM)?

Inside the back door of the remote, hit the "input" button at the bottom right corner until the display reads "auto".

Edit - I just realized this specific answer applies to the 2307, not the 2308. But I'm sure it's similar, just look for the input button that changes the input format.
