So last night I bought the Denon 1910 to replace my old JVC DVD player. The Denon has a DVI output and my TV has a HDMI input. My question is, will I notice a big difference if I buy a cable and utilize the DVI to HDMI connection? Currently I'm using the component connections.

Thanks!!

Depends on what kind of TV you have. If you have a digital-based HDTV (plasma, LCD, DLP), the digitally upconverted signal from the 1910 will probably look better via DVI output because the signal stays digital all the way. If you have a CRT-based HDTV, it may make little difference because the final display is analog. Also remember that DVI, unlike HDMI, does not carry digital audio. So you will need to connect audio with an optical or coaxial connector.

I do have a Mitsubishi CRT based TV. I guess I'm wondering if I need to use the DVI to HDMI connection for the DVD player to upconvert?
