Hi all, I am having an issue with my new AVR. The Denon 1312BA. I have only had it hooked up for about a week now and at random times it is locking up. The remote wont work, the buttons on the unit itself wont work. The power button will not even work. I am having to unplug the unit and plug it back in before it will work again. Once I do this, everything is back to normal and working perfectly. However, this has happend four time in a week and I am not even using it but maybe a couple hours a day. Is there a known issue with these, or is there something I can do to fix it. I really dont want to send it back, but I will if it is the only option to get it working correctly.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Send it back! That is what warranties are for. You have a dud, exchange it for a new one.

Before you assume it's a bad receiver, try a different outlet, on a completely different circuit. If it screws up then, make sure your voltage is stable and adequate before sending it back. You'll probably need a return authorization before sending it back.
