I've not heard the eD speakers, but I own a pair of BP7006 towers and they are amazing, I'd go with those, but I'm also a bit biased towards def tech, but even still $500 for the pair is a steal, as they normally retail for $650 each.

Do you have 3ft of space from your front wall and side walls?

If you do, then I believe bipole/dipole speakers will reward you with incredible sound quality.

The only problem with bipole/dipole speakers is that most people don't have 3ft of front/side wall space to spare and so they "misplace" them and defeat any benefits of the bipole/dipole design. Thus, quite a few unfortunate experiences have resulted in many dislikes.

I believe the difference between traditional direct-radiating (monopole) speakers vs bipole/dipole speakers is significant.

I think the bipole DefTechs, as well as other bipole/dipoles designs out there, is the way to go.:D
