Definitive Technology Mythos STS or Unpowered Tower + Velodyne SPL1000R

Sold my old Def Tech BP10 bipolar front and back firing speaker (total 4 x 1in tweeters and 4 x 6-1/2in woofers), still have Velodyne 10in 1000 W powered sub and ADCOM 545-II 100wpc amp.

I have a problem deciding between
- new Definitive Technology Mythos STS (300W powered sub in each tower, boasts system equuivalent to 2 x 10 in subs)

or

- an Unpowered Tower + existing Velodyne SPL 1000R (10 in 1000W RMS sealed sub).

Any comments as to upgrading from BP10 + Velodyne 10 in sub to increasing the quality of sound (music) is appreciated.

Tough choice.

If you are going for just movies 5.1, intead of music 2.0, I would go for the unpowered Mythos + Sub.

I would much rather use the Mythos Ones with a good sub.
