Definitive Tech Mythos Solo XL vs. Gems

Does anyone have experience with the Mythos Solo XL? It certainly has a lot of wife appeal. I would likely try to add a couple of Gems for the rear, either now or later. The TV is mounted on a wall with a window to one side and a door to the other which makes mounting speakers of any size beside the TV not practical.

My room is only 12X15 (with an open side to the kitchen).
My receiver is Sony STR DG2100.

The alternate solution is Gems front and back, Mythos 7 center channel. The Gems will fit on the wall in the small space between the TV and door/window (but might looked a bit close -- back to the wife factor).

Haven't closed on the sub yet, but B&W 608 was recommended.

Any experience, thoughts or recommendations are welcome. Can't find much out there on the Solo XL.

If the Gems/7 will provide a wider soundstage, I'd go that route. Unfortunately, I've never heard the Solo.

I'm sure the Gems + 7 center will give a wider sound stage, but given my room situation, it may be less than optimal. Either the speakers will be directly beside the TV...or will be 4 feet left and right of the TV. According to all the guidance, optimum would be about 2 feet.

Need to find one of these Solo XLs to listen to.
