I have an old pair of Definitive BP 2000 tower speakers. One of the speakers has lost volume.

Substituting a different pair of speakers makes the problem go away.

What is likely wrong?

I really appreciate any help. Timmo

By "lost volume" do you mean the bass is gone? Most likely the internal amplifier has died.

Unfortunately, it is all frequencies. I can see and feel vibration from all four midranges and from the subwoofer. I can completely compensate for the problem with my amplifier’s balance control turned all the way to the affected side. So, if the subwoofer is, as I perceive, affected the same as the other drivers, is my crossover dying?
