Google got me here and in my search for Definitive Bi Polar speakers I came up empty here on postings about these speakers specifically the BP 10's. Comments, suggestions. Amp is Denon 3805. Super Cube I is the sub we will consider. Thanks. Mark

Definitive

I have a pair of BP 8's and am very pleased. I am unfamiliar with the Super Cube. The BP's are great for Home Theatre. I am fairly pleased with them musically but they are somewhat sensitive with regard to placement. I suppose that this is true of most bipolar speakers.

Addition

I forgot to mention that I powered mine with a Denon 3803 and then with an Adcom 100 wpc amp. They both have plenty of power for the Def Techs. In fact, I have moved them into a separate room powered by an integrated 40 wpc Rotel amp.

Thanks Jeff. I am looking into this for a family member. They are quite excited about getting home theater system. I am not familiar with Definitive. I personally own KEF's, Sonus Faber and ADS speakers. My recomendation to them was to get some decent speakers and build around them. We checked out the Definitive BP 10B's and various subs, center speakers as well as surrounds (5.1). My only concern is that the Definitive BP 10's won't have enough volume to satisfy their needs. They enjoy very loud music. The dealer seemed a bit reluctant to ever get the volume up to the levels they enjoy. I am a little concerned that the Definitives won't get as loud as they won't prior to driving the amp/receiver into clipping taking the tweeters out. As it stands, the setup would include the Denon 3805, Definitive BP 10's, Super Cube I, BP 4's for the rear surrounds, and a Definitive CSLR center speaker. Thanks for the comments.

P.S. I registered from Sonus to Rat

RaT,
I'm not exactly sure of the specs of the BP 10 but my manual lists the specs of the BP8 as having a 91db sensitivity. I have had them to near ear bleeding volume when driving them with my Adcom amp and never got them to clipping. The Adcom is 100 wpc and has a couple of lights to let you know when clipping occurs. If they like the sound of the speakers, I don't think that volume levels will ever be an issue. If these aren't loud enough for them, they may have to consider something with a horn such as Klipsch.
