I was wondering which sub you guys think will have more punch. I am not worried about cost, well 1600 is a little rich for me right now. I would like to have the ultra but i was thinking of settling down with the PB-12+. I want all of your honest opinion on these two subs.

The Def Tech Supercube 1 vs. SVS PB-12+. I messed it up in the title.

Personally I would go with the SVS, not that the def tech isn't a nice sub, but I really think the SVS will be overall better.

I don't think a supercube 1 will come anywhere near the same performance as a PB-12 Plus. SB-12 Plus might be a closer comparison.

I have two Supercube 1's built into my BP7001sc and they don't come anywhere close to the power of my SVS PB12/2 NSD. I mean nowhere near the vicinty. The DefTechs drop off around 30Hz and fast, where my SVS gets clean and deep down around 20Hz and even further. Buy the SVS you won't regret it, but if you can save up a little more for the PB13 Ultra, it would be worth waiting a month or two to get the PB13.

The subs built into the BP7001SCs aren't going to be the exact same as a stand alone Supercube 1. With the stand alone you will be able to place the sub better for more optimum bass response, but even still it will not be anywhere close to the SVS. Remember, the Supercube 1 is a 10" sub, and the SVS is a 12", both are long throw subs, but the larger driver in the SVS will yield more displacement.

SVS FTW :D I had the PB12nsd and this sub hits hard !!! Also great for music. Hopefully the PB13-Ultra will do the same for me ;)
