After much thinking I've decided I'm keeping my 450s. I have always loved the sound and value but I ve had concerns wether they can belt it out with a McIntosh MC252 ( 250 watts/channel ). What I had in mind was to run (1) or possibly (2) SVS PB12 Ultras crossed over around 80 hz. I will be moving into a bigger apt with a room around 20 feet long and 15 weet wide. Subs and speakers will be calibrated to keep the freq response as linear as possible and acoustic treatment will be added to the room. Anybody think the midrange drivers will bottom out or sound compressed with my McIntosh cranked - even crossovered with the subs ? Of course I will be listening to my music flat with no bass or treble boost. Thanks.

these can handle about 100-150w unclipped more than that is pushing it.
