Folks, I have a chance to go see Def Leppard, REO, and Tesla on August 8th. Some of the tickets are very expensive, but most are $112. I have never seen Def Leppard or Tesla, but have REO. Although, that was many years ago. Has anyone here seen Def Leppard? If so, how was the show? How about Tesla? I already know REO puts on one heck of a show. So, is it worth $112, no?

Cheers,

Phil

About a decade ago in concert with Journey, for what that's worth. I don't want to say that they sucked live, but there it is. Journey wiped the floor with em that day IMHO. There's also this note on their Wikipedia page:

Back on land, Elliott struggled through the first concert of the 2016 tour, resulting in Tesla's Jeff Keith joining Elliott on lead. The following day's concert was also postponed "due to illness", with Rick Allen reporting on Twitter "The Doctor basically said that if Joe continues to sing without resting his throat for a month he might do permanent damage.."

Oh man that does NOT sound too good at all. Personally, I think the tickets are a bit too high. ZZ Top is going to be here on the 20th, but tickets for that show are just as high. REO usually puts on a good show. Don't know much about Tesla. Thanks for the info Steve!

Cheers,

Phil

See them while you still can. 2016 is like the 'Final Destination' movies for these old rockers. None of them will still be with us by new year's day!

I saw Def Leapard years ago...about 27 I think. I ran out of fingers and toes... It was a good show back then. But they have had a lot of hard living since then. SO my experience doesn't really count.

Concert ticket prices are really high. I haven't been to a concert in a couple of years. Guess I'm too cheap to pay the high prices, $20-30 for parking, large crowds, bad traffic, baby sitter, etc. It's like I'm getting old or something...

I think the last non-symphony concert I saw live was Weird Al Yankovick. Great show! Had a great time and tickets were only like $27 for good seats, not the $40 premium seats.

Hope they are all still here. REO always puts on a great show. Might go check it out!

Yeah, tickets are quite high. At $112 not sure if it is worth it though. ZZ Top is here on March 20th, but tickets for that is just as high. Now if it were Pink Floyd or the Eagles, then I would be all over that!

I saw Def Leppard at the end of 1992, and they rocked it. Not as good as their "In the Round" concert video, but still darn good. I would imagine that they kind of suck now, though.

Yeah, I think that you are right Adam. REO will put on a good show thoough. Tesla is very popular here locally. But, I am NOT paying $112 for that. It is free on youtube......LOL!!!! :D:D:D
