I don't think that there's much floating around these parts on Deep Sea Sound, so I'll give them a bump here. The company's current offerings are built around Stereo Integrity's HST-18 and HS24 drivers, with power supplied by a 4kW SpeakerPower amp. As you might gather from that, the subs aren't exactly inexpensive. Also, given sheer size and enclosure requirements for the HS24 driver, the flagship offering isn't what you'd call compact. However, given the measurements conducted by Josh on the raw drivers, it's fair to say these two, and especially the 24" monster, are ULF champs. As for the cabinets themselves, there are several veneer options, as well as the option for an end table sub:

I was hoping to hear these at Capital Audiofest this year, but David Gage (the company owner) had to pull out since the show planners weren't going to let the subs even stretch their legs.

This is an absolutely killer sub. The measurements for the driver are top notch. The cabinet in the Mariana subs are smaller than the one Just tested, but the sound quality is still excellent. I hanged out with Dave (Deep Sea Sound owner) and Nick (HS24 driver engineer) off an on all weekend during Axpona, so I had the opportunity to hear it at length, and it is an amazing subwoofer. Extremely tight and very powerful. Considering its capabilities and material costs, it is a bargain at $4k.

when you look at costs of materials to total cost of the sub ...... bargain might be too light of a word. Steal is more like it.

Stealth? The thing is huge and has a 24" circular cloth cover on the front. Hmmm... I wonder what that is? ;-) I still covet one...
Huge, yes; however, placed as a couple end tables flanking a sofa for example, most visitors to wouldn't have a clue of the ride they'd be in for.

No doubt. Talk about stealth bass...
@shadyJ any thoughts on fit & finish?
The finish is very nice- real wood veneer. I prefer the 26" cube version, I just have a thing for symmetry. There are some higher end veneers available, of course, I am sure they look great as well.

Dave himself uses one as an endtable. When I was in their room at Axpona, we had a recording with a strong 10 Hz tone, and we were putting our heads right next to the woofer and cranking it. It almost felt like going underwater, the air pressure change was palpable. I have never felt bass quite like that, fantastic!
