So, as in a different thread, I announced the purchase of my new speakers. The Energy C-3's. I'll also be buying its surrounds and center. Now. Here's the receiver I'm seriously considering, unless anyone can tell me why I "shouldn't" buy it.....Review link on bottom as well.

And here's the review: Marantz SR8200 THX receiver

Hehe.... On another forum, someone was saying that they "heard/understood" that the Marantz people way over exaggerated on the power ratings/specs, and that there was no way it carried a continuous signal of the claimed wattage accross 5/6 channels.

Then he insisted that Harmon Kardon inspects/tests their equipment, and makes sure that their specs are not exaggerated at all. Any comments on this ? I just want to make sure that I won't get screwed with power...and that the speakers won't eat it up. I really hate when i have doubts of such magnitude. Besides that, I have 't seen a HK with THX or the features that can match the Marantz. It's such a sexy beast !

Marantz has some of the most solid built receivers out there, Amp sections are where most of their R&D shines.
