I'm starting to put together a fairly simple system, but need some advice on the best avr to go with. Here's my setup:
2 Pioneer SP-BS22-LR bookshelf speakers
Samsung TV
Digital antenna
Macbook pro
Apple airport express

I need an AVR to tie all of this together. For now, I plan on connecting my airport express to the yet to be purchased receiver via a toslink cable so that I can play music through the speakers via airplay.
I also want to to be able to connect my laptop to the receiver as well so that I can send audio to the speakers and video to the tv. I'll do this via HDMI and another toslink cable since my macbook is a bit too old to handle audio over hdmi.
I'll be using a digital antenna for most of the video for the tv.
And that's it. I would like USB for an iPod/iPhone connection, but that's not essential.

So, my question is, with all of that, what is a good receiver to get the job done? It only needs to switch between a few inputs and be able to adequately power my speakers.
The one I have been looking at is the Onkyo TX-NR414. However, I'm a little worried it maybe a bit overkill for needs and therefore a bit too expensive.

Anyhow, being new to all of this, I would love and appreciate any advice, suggestions, etc.
Thanks!

Dustin

Thanks!
The Onkyo I was looking at I can get for 230 bucks. However, I suspect it maybe a bit overkill for me or there may just be a better solution. Either way, I wouldn't want to pay anymore than what it costs.
