Deciding between REcievers

I am setting up a new system in my basement.

I am going to be putting in a SHarp LC-80uq17u TV.

I am trying to decide between a denon AVR x2100w reciever with definitive technology procinema 600 speaker set (including the subwoofer)

Or an Onkyo TX-NR636 receiver with Klipsch speaker set 1014526 (sub woofer bought seperate).

any thoughts? pretty easy to mix and match the speakers with the recievers too..

THE ONE AFTER THOUGHT IS I ALREADY HAVE THE INFINITI TSS-500 SPEAKER SET AND IF I COULD USE THOSE?

If you like the Infinity speakers, then don't buy any new speakers. Just get a Denon AVR.

Unless you need the X2100 (MSRP $700, not on sale), I would get the X2000 (MSRP $700, sale $500) and save money. Or the Denon E400 for $350 (MSRP $650).

IS there a big difference between the 2000 and 2100? Besides 7 vs 8 inputs?

There are always some differences. But probably little difference between 2100 & 2000.

For someone like me who doesn't need all that many features, I wouldn't even notice a difference. They both have Audyssey XT, 4K, 3D, plenty of HDMI, TrueHD, DTS-HD, AirPlay.

Any specific features you were looking for?

I can tell you what I would do. I would give Electronics Expo a phone call. Ask them if they can sell a new X2000 for $350. They may also sell a X4000 for $650. But I think the X2000 is good.
