after a long decision-making process, i have decided on the Belkin PureAV line to protect my system. my other considerations were the Tripp Lite 1000LCD, APC H or S line, and the Monster line. it was a matter of not only name brand quality but also my budget, and i think the Belkin has the best balance of both for my needs. however, i am open to recommendations of what you guys use and if you are happy or not with your choice.

so unless anyone can convince me otherwise, it looks like the Belkin PureAV PF60 and Battery Backup UPS combo.

now i found an amazing deal on the PF60 part, the Belkin UPS will be bought in a few days, but a few questions that you can hopefully help me with:

a) anyone order from www.x10.com or Digitally Unique before ? x10 has the PF60 for a total of $200.49 after tax & ship, DU has it for $205.90. seems too good to be true for a unit that has a retail of $795.00 after just tax alone at a retail store (and most sites). i am concerned it could be a refurb or worse.

b) anyone have either the PF60, UPS or both from Belkin and can attest to their quality/performance?

c) anyone have and/or think i should give more consideration the the Tripp Lite, Monster, or APC product? i wasnt sure if the Tripp would have the quality - perhaps another thing of the price was too good as it can easily be found at 150-160. the APC S series are way too much, as are the Monster Powercenters and Voltage Stabilizer. the APC H line doesnt have battery backup, and the location i live has sags, brownouts often enough i believe i need a UPS.

my setup: Samsung 46" DLP, RCA HTIB, Pany DVD player, and the three game consoles

thank you all for your help, this is a huge decision for me!

the ratings show x10 to be reliable, but it just seems too good to be true that they have the Belkin PF60 for $200 when everywhere else has it for the retail of $750.
