In my quest to find new fronts, I ran into a demo pair of B&W 603 S3's last night at my local joint. They sounded very tight and the best midrange abilities I have heard in a while. He also had a matching pair of DM303's which I have always liked. Anyway he want a clean $1000.00 for the 2 sets. I was looking at the Paradigm Monitor 7s but I liked these B&Ws better. And I could use my Mini Monitors for surrounds and the 303s for rears. So, my question is: good deal for a 1000 bucks?

I have the 603s3's and love them.I would say yes that would be a good deal if your getting both sets.
I just relized something. If your dealer were to give you a discount say 20% like i get from my B&W dealer for brand new speakers you would only be saving about 40.00.So actually it's not that good of a deal.

For that kind of money, have you looked at the Paradigm Studio 20's? They run $800 list, and after comparing the 603s3's against them I personally preferred the Studio 20's.
