If it is "stuck" on red, you can probably fix it. If it is totally dead, it might stay that way. But a "stuck" pixel will often be corrected. Use the Break in DVD (you can easily find it with a search over at AVS. You can also just put up an all White screen.

I have had a "stuck" pixel as well as two different "flickering" pixels in my Samsung plasma. All three eventually corrected themselves. With one of the flickering pixels, I only got it to go away by running the break in DVD.

I can't guarantee that it will come "unstuck". But certainly do not lose hope :)

If you mean the "wipe", that is what I did with my stuck pixel and it eventually went away.

The "orbiter" usually refers to the processing that periodically shifts the whole image by a few pixels when you are watching regular content ;)

Yup, the "scrolling bar" might do the trick :)

See if you can track down that break in DVD though. It's great just to have it on hand. I'm pretty sure that someone made a USB thumbstick version that you can just plug into the USB port on the TV and play it like a slideshow.

Hi. You can download the break-in images in multiple formats from the link here. I used the break-in images (second item listed, which is 8kB in size) and put them on an SD memory card and ran them as a slide show on my G10. Worked great, and I didn't have to run my disc player.
