DCX 2496 assistance

Ok so I finally got the opportunity to install my DCX 2496 into my system, but had an issue....

For those that don't know, I had an SMS-1 and was outputting the same signal to all 4 subs (2 18" LMS's, 1 15" TC3000, and 1 15" TC2000) I'll be replacing the TC2000 as soon as my 3rd LMS shows up...

All subs are scattered around the room at different distances, which is why I moved over to the DCX so I could set distances for each properly, and thus far it has done a fantastic job and things are sounding better and tighter in that regard. Now after measuring with REW, we came up with a pretty nice response, but need to EQ 3 points. Which we entered into the DCX, but upon further sweeps, it showed no effect like the EQ wasn't working at all.

Also I thought the DCX was more capable, but it seems that there are only 3 EQ settings for each input, and 2 for each output. I could use more help clarifying how to set up.

My setup is 1 XLR from the Sub out on my Anthem D2v, to input (A) on DCX linking outputs (1,2,3,4) to each of my Amps.

I am trying to EQ globally in the single A input to cover the response, but its showing no difference in response after measuring.

Did you try entering these via REW or manually?

Make sure your EQ is on and that you are using the bandpass filter.

All manually with both the PC software for the DCX as well as the front panel.

Yes, the EQ on is checked, and also in the BP setting...

I'd have to see it in order to help. I can only suggest you go over it looking for what is likely to be a simple issue.

I know it sounds simple, but these things are usually simple problems.

You can set 6 or 8 on the output I cannot remember. You go to NR (on the EQ page) and select 1, 2, 3, etc. for selection. I leave the input alone on mine and do everything on the outputs.

I can help you out further if you let me know more specifically what your settings are at.

I didn't want to try to work on individual outputs, as it would have become much more complex to try to get closer to a flat response...

EQ'ing the response all at once would be much easier, and I pretty much only need 3 freq's attenuated over the range...

As it sits the DCX has done wonders for me and I should have added it way earlier to set distances and phasing, just a bit frustrated why i couldn't see a change in response after adding eq..... its not like its that difficult a unit to work with

Doing it on one output, you can then copy to all of the others.

I think the problem is that there is just too much response at those freq that its not able to kill all of it - overwhelming.... I'm going to remeasure all the subs individually and the pull the peaks down on each output as best I can and then look it over and see what I come up with.... and then let ARC handle the rest.

It will take me a bit more work, but I got nothing but time on this anyways...

Plus when the 3rd LMS comes in, I'll have to revisit this all over again.

Is there a simple formula that will convert the REW Q value to the DCX ?

REW seems to be geared more towards the 1124 and the values are not the same as the DCX.... I don't understand why they are different....

Any help would be appreciated - gotta spend my next day off setting up and EQ'ing my 4 subs once again...

I don't remember exactly what format the 1124 uses, but is this reference chart on bottom of link - calculator up top, help?
