DBuys.com, anyone use them? (Denon Reciever)

So I'm still tossing around a few Denon models (recievers) and noticing how much cheaper the non-authorized dealers can be, but they have an all-sales-final policy. Someone in another thread recommended DBuys. What does everyone think? Should I get the Mack warranty they offer and buy through them - I'll still save a ton of money, but do I have to worry about defective products, serial # tampering, etc.?
Or do I buy from someone like Crutchfied at MSRP because of their return policy/reliability?

Thanks for the help, this board has been great!

Warranty

One of the first things I would do is verify with Denon that this is an authorized dealer. If not you may have saved a couple of dollars at the price of a voided warranty.

I noticed that the last post mentioned dakmart, I know they are an authorized dealer but they deal in B stock or refurbished stuff. What I did was go to a local authorized dealer and met with a salesman a few times. I then told him I could get it cheaper on ebay or some other on-line market. I then offered him a price that I was happy with and he took it to the manager. We finally came to a price that we could all live with.

I think that local dealers are feeling the internet pinch and are willing to do some stuff to get your business. I found that the price that I paid (I bought a 2500 but they sold the 3805 as well), wan't much more than an internet special, plus a mack warranty or equivalent, plus shipping minus sales tax. And I got to take it home right away. I new exactly what I was getting and I new that it was brand new never opened and I could return it immediately if there was a problem. Also, no return shipping charges other than my gas to drive the few miles back to the store. The extra I paid was well worth the potential headaches that could have or still could happen with a faulty unit. Ask the guy that was posting about Abes of Maine a week or so ago.

You might want to give it a shot.

This may be true but the model you bought does not seem to be current production and the model number does not seem to match the main line of componets for the US market. Are you sure of the model # ?

Just curious. Who did you purchase this from ?
