Dayton T65 Impressions/ Mini review

Amazing! I just picked these up (for my apartment) for a third system and they are remarkable for the money. Mind blowing, to say the least. They can fill a room while offering very crisp vocals, great mid-range performance and more than enough bass to be suitable for detailed listening. I'm astounded by the big, lush music coming from these speakers. The sound stage is deep and wide and the instruments feel tight and accurate. There is even a good bit of sparkle up top on the upper end. These dayton's perform about 7/8's (85%) of the RBH R55TI towers(and I'm super high on these, which are in my second system), which is in it's self insane, they also offer better bass performance top to bottom. I have not heard any small bookshelf speaker under 600 bucks that could keep up with these, scale, dynamics, soundstage etc......you will need a nice system to get the best out of them, they are very power hungry claimed efficiency states 87db, but i would assume it's more like 85db, once i moved them to a nice 80watt rms system they woke up! I consider this speaker a real disruptor at this 200 dollar price point. I would love to see a James Larson review............At $199 bucks for the pair this is hands the best value in home audio without question.
