Just curious if these are alright. I know they're dirt cheap and if price reflects quality these may not be great. But, it is possible they're good.

I searched around but didn't find any feedback other than suggesting them to others.

Does anyone here run the subs? I'm really just looking for something on a budget to get the job done in a 10x12 room.

The basic Dayton subs are good budget subs especially for the money; however, they won't be as musical or go as low as an HSU or SVS. I would save until you can get into an STF-1 or Onix x-sub which both have 8" drivers, but they do sound better than the entry-level Daytons.

It is really going to be determined by room size. Though the HSU or X-sub may be more well designed they will not do well in a large room. As much as I hate to say it, I would rather have a slightly less linear sub capable of filling the space with bass than an accurate woofer struggling to be heard in a large room.

I was/am in the same situation you are I think. I also looked at that subwoofer and did some reading. I found that if you can raise your budget a little it sounds like you can get alot more woofer for the money. After all my searching I was stuck between the VX-10 and the Bic H-100. The VX-10 is about 170 where as the H-100 is 200. I am gonna save for the H-100. Hope this helps and sorry for any mistakes I'm new to the hobby also.
