Look where data-bass.com is resolving to. I don't know the story, but I hope the regular data-bass website comes back up soon. If anyone knows what is happening, please share the news!

You know, I like how it starts working right after I post that message, after not resolving for like 3 days. Maybe it is the DNS server on my network. Fate waits for me to make a fool out of myself before revealing the truth.

You're not crazy. I tried visiting data-bass.com once yesterday I think and got a DNS error at work. Tried pinging, couldn't resolve. I hadn't thought much about it beyond that, just figured Josh was changing providers or authoritative nameservers or something. Looking now, his domain's current DNS records have a TTL of 4 hours. His domain's SOA record has a refresh rate of 24 hours though, and judging from the serial it appears it was updated at least 5 times today. It's not your DNS provider's fault. DNS changes are usually a weekend thing.

Data-bass's webmaster, Kyle, posted this in their forums:
"Sorry, i moved around DNS name servers and that may mess things up for a few days. Going to take a while to propagate to all the zones."

I guess we don't have to panic anymore.
