Hi, I was wondering if anyone would have information on my center and if it is worth keeping or should be upgraded. It is a Dahlquist DQ-66.2CTR but I have no specs on it.Any info would be appreciated.Thanks.

So these were made in 1997, and have a tweeter surrounded by 2 6.5" mids, right?

The only thing that I can contribute is that they retailed at 849.00 new. If you don't find the info you're looking for here or on other fora, and you really need to know more, you could register for access to the Audiogon Blue Book, which will have many more details.

Good luck -

Yes, that's the one. It sounds good and looks to be of good quality. I wanted to make sure it was a good match for my front speakers which I just bought, a pair of Paradigm Monitor7v5. Thanks for your help.

I would think, given the size and implied quality of the Dahlquists, that they would be a nice complement to the Paradigms from an SPL perspective.

There has been an emphasis on tweeter and midrange, ah, detail in speaker products since 1997, though, that you might find make the Dahlquist less than a perfect tonal match with the Paradigms. This is something I would listen carefully for and pay attention to during calibration.

In a case like this I think you would really benefit from some quality time with some reference tones and an SPL meter.
