hello everyone 1st please forgive my spelling and grammer! What are the pro"s and cons of a cylinder subwoofer over a box sub?Trying to peice together a ht system.hope to replace a SansueRZ-7500AV with a YamahaRX-V663.Can't upgrade all at once also have a pair of DCM TF600 that I can't replace right now.any sugestions on a mid grade sub for between 400 to 600-$? It will be in a 25'X30' Basement and about 50%music 50%movies like classic rock and jazz. Thank you for your time and advice!!!!!!

the cylinder takes up less floorspace area, but is quite tall. it's lighter too.
but most the SVS box alternatives measure better than their cylinder brothers. probably because of the port orientation and distance from the mic.

I went with the cylinder for lighter weight, smaller footprint (I cared about floor space, not height), and to just go with something different. I thought about it for a while, but I gotta say that I really like how it looks.
