Hello everyone, I am looking into raising my speakers slightly off of the cabinet they're set on (and away from the little guy's greasy fingers a bit too but that’s probably futile). I’m looking to raise them both so that they’re a tad higher (they don’t need much, they're already near ear level) but also, mostly, so that they’re a little more isolated from the cabinet which had a tendency to resonate and which might be causing some bouncing of the sound. In any case, my requirements are a little odd: I need to put two fairly large bookshelf speakers (Triangle Magellan Duetto: 18.1”H x 9.96”W x 13.78”D and 35 pounds) on very short stands: 10” or so on the left and 13” or so on the right (the 2 pieces of furniture they’re on are not the same height and the stands could compensate for that). Therefore, I am looking to see if anyone has recommendations on either adjustable height stands or custom order stands. The husband acceptance factor needs to be high (and yes, that's me, I hate this wife acceptance notion, I actually care at least as much as my wife what the living room looks like ;). So far I’ve found a couple of shops on etsy that look promising but I was curious to see if anyone has other suggestions (and I’m going to stay away from woven baskets I’ve seen recommended in other threads, I think the speakers are a little heavy for that). Custom speaker stands on etsy: beautiful mid-century stands (also customizable): https://www.etsy.com/listing/246728183/ss-f-up-to-6-12-18-24-30-inch-custom more standard stands: https://www.etsy.com/listing/248607221/audio-speaker-stand-iron-and-wood-2 Cheers!
