Custom covers for SVS PC13-Ultra?

I looked around a bit but didn't see anything promising.

Do any of you know of any commercially-available custom covers for SVS cylinder subs? I'm in the mood to change the look of mine, but I don't feel like making one just yet.

Interesting question.

Since SVSound switched from the industrial fabric to the velour, the current DSP cylinders look a little nicer than the old ones, but they're still a very basic, black tube, aren't they?

I haven't really come across ready-to-order custom covers. I'm sure Nathan Funk over at Funky Waves could probably whip up anything you like though

SVS might have some ideas if you contact them directly too. It does seem like a simple enough idea, but you're right, I don't really know of anyone offering such a product/service since it would be such a custom and niche market.

Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking that it might need to be a custom job, but I wanted to ask around first. A custom job makes me pause, because those don't come cheap. And I'm cheap.

I was hoping that I could help Alex with his Yamaha manual in return for a nice, custom veneer sheath for my sub...but he's all set on figuring it out himself.

I could just wrap it in a sheet, but I think that would look cheesy.

If you have the measurements you might try GIK acoustics and see if they'd make a custom cover. I'm not good enough with fabric to offer. You could do anything you want to the side of it. The driver and port are on the top and bottom so you won't effect performance that way. If you know a good seamstress I bet they might could make a nice cover. You could cover the port with burlap or grill cloth and be ok. If you are trying to drape over it.
