Hi Everyone,

I hope I am not breaking any rules, I reviewed them and I do not believe I am. I have registered for a "partner" account and am awaiting verification.

My name is James, I am the owner of affordhifi.com. My goal is to make audiophile grade cables that anyone can afford. I have been active on other forums for some time now and have had very positive reviews. I also had my XLR cables and subwoofer cables reviewed recently by the folks over at "Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity". The review can be found here:

I offer high quality speaker cables, bi-amp cables, bi-wire cables, RCA cables, XLR cables, XLR to RCA cables etc.

I have been offering monthly give aways over at one of the other forums for the past several months. The members seem to truly enjoy it. Is this something you feel would go well here? Typically I post a certain type of cable and anyone who responds to the posting within a given period of time is entered into the drawing. The cables and shipping for the give aways are obviously on me.

Thank you,

James

Cable porn is always a crowd pleaser. You can name the other forum you do the give aways on. We acknowledge that other audio forums exist and some of us belong to more than one. No biggie.

The review you linked mentioned BJC which is well regarded here as your company should be as well. Competition amongst suppliers is a good thing for consumers.

If you ever do get a give away going, please enter Swerd for some speaker cables 'cause his turned black and green like 20 years ago but he's been saving up for a roof evidently.

Hey Alex2507,

Thank you for the response! I appreciate the info, I didn't want to break any rules. I have been regularly posting on the Emotiva forum and have had a great time doing give aways and I have established some pretty awesome customer relationships.

Sounds like the perfect way to get started here on Audioholics is with a give away then!

Look for the posting shortly.

I think AH is at war with Emo. :D

Don't worry about that though. Pic's are enough to win this crowd over and a give-away ... well, that makes you man of the rest of the year!

There's a forum for give-aways. That might get you more exposure but the thread you started works for me.

Hopefully a participating member who can string a few words together about your cables gets them.

Can't think of any cables I need but don't look too badly priced and seems you use decent stock/connectors. Seems that you're not another cable charlatan, of which there are far too many already. So, good luck!

Hey Lovinthehd,

Appreciate the feedback! No, my cables will not bring world peace and nor will they give you a back massage either.... However, I just try to focus on quality cables and quality terminations to make a good cable at a good price.

Thank you,

James

Yeah but... do you freeze them and put batteries in them? Everyone knows that cryogenics and batteries make cables sound sweeter, and you call yourself a cable maker... Pft!

Of course I'm kidding! Your cables look to be very nice connectors, and they don't come with grandiose claims that defy physics or cost an arm and a leg. You sir, get my stamp of approval. Welcome to AH!

No, I have not tried freezing them or putting batteries in but they are braided such that somehow the electrical signals travel in only one direction and the use of gravity assists the speed of these actions so the amplifier should definitely be higher than the speakers.... HAHA

Again, joking aside, I greatly appreciate the response. This is not something I do for a living, this is something I do because of my love for quality audio and home theater experiences. I wish I could make cables for a living but this is just a passion.

Hey Everyone,

We have a few new options available. We are now offering our Knukonceptz 12/2 KM3 cable sleeved in blue/black, red/black, and black/gold/silver sleeving (with more colors to come).

In addition, we are now offering our RCA cables and subwoofer cables sleeved.

By the end of the week we will also be offering RF cables (sleeved and bare) and an additional subwoofer cable option both of which are made from Belden 1694A.

Thank you,

James

Thanks Gmoney! I appreciate the response.

As of tomorrow I will have the Belden 1694A subwoofer cable and RF cables live as well.

Please stay tuned as I plan to offer another free cable give away in February.

Thank you,

James

Good to see you on this forum. The Emotiva forum has some "hard to please" members. Furthermore, it is a tough business selling cables. Question, are you going to start selling power cables for subs, AVRs, etc. in the near future?

Why would you want power cables? The ones you have are the wrong length or something?

Hey GFOVideo,
No, I hadn’t planned on offering any power cables. I’ve made some for my own personal use but that’s it.

I have got a Power Sound Audio PSA-XV15 subwoofer, and the power cable does not fit tight. My 2 year old easily removes it. I email PSA about this issue while the sub was under warranty, but didn't receive a favorable response. I think I may just give it a try and build one just to see how it goes.
