Canadian science fiction author and lead Crysis 2 writer Peter Watts has been found guilty of resisting a United States border patrol officer, and faces up to two years in prison.
The 52-year-old author was found guilty by a Michigan court on Friday. Watts' sentencing is scheduled for April 26.
Watts' controversial arrest was first reported by Boing Boing in December. Exactly what transpired that night is unclear, but according to the
San Francisco Examiner, the statute he was charged with covers "an individual who assaults, batters, wounds, resists, obstructs, opposes, or endangers a person who the individual knows or has reason to know is performing his or her duties."
