Crown XLS 1000 Is It Capable of 2 Ohm?

I am looking to buy an amp to power my 10" eclips subs that I have built. I currently have them wired for 2 ohm load for each sub. I have them in series currently and running both off of my Adcom GFA 555 which is bridged at a 4 ohm load and roughly 400 watts.

I am leaning toward going with the Crown XLS 1000 and running it at 2 ohm load fore each sub. This would be 550 watts to each.

Are there any concerns with running the amp at 2 ohms that I need to be concerned with. I was also thinking of the Behringer iNuke DSP 1000 as an alternative also. I just thought the Crown may handle the 2 ohm load a little better than the Behringer.

As long as you don't bridge it there shouldn't be any problems. For a 2 ohm load I'd be much more apt to trust the crown than the behringer.

I was also concerned about running this off the LFE outs on my receiver. I have read some reports of folks having issues with the output voltage being to low. Is this something I need to be concerned with.

Some pro amps have issues, but the crowns are usually pretty good. I haven't had any trouble with my 2500.

Okay. I think I am going with the Crown XLS 1000.

I ran my XLS1500 with the LFE out on my 809 at 2 ohms without issue. Other than my drivers tried to explode.
