.....thanks for the response....I was beginning to think this place was an oil painting instead of a chatroom....hey, if you haven't owned a Crown K Series, you've been only reading specs and letting someone else tell you what sounds best who might be a little hacked off he can't afford a Crown K....that's where most of us here have screwed up at least once through our listening careers, not letting our individual ears make the decision....a long time ago though, I heard 4 Bose 901's with two high, and two low on the side walls, and I had to determine that night about when I could raise the money....I bought a second pair W/equalizer to have an extra in case the first one croaked....low and behold about two months later, the thought hit me to get the second equalizer into the act....I already had the first one inline, so I put the second one on a tape monitor and turned the volume up very slowly....I can't tell you how thrilled I was....it sounded like you were THERE actually pretty close....36 db boost on the highest highs and the lowest lows....amazing outcome full-range but especially low....any of you guys out there got 4 901's and one equalizer need to see to it....you can buy them directly from Bose....find the money.....you'll need at least 400 watts at 4 with the paralleled 901's.......the first thing I said here related to would it SOUND BETTER to spend more on someone else's speaker wire/cables, and I was thrilled you can buy SoundKing and be done with it....now with speakers, unfortunately, that's usually different....Crown K Series....damping factor >3000 from 10 to 400 hz....class dismissed, haha.......
