Ok, I posted awhile ago about redoing my KLH 3-way speakers and came across a crossover on ebay already built Heres the run down.
100 watts crossover Woofer0.4mill henry, Tweeter 0.5 mill henry, Mids 0.196 micro henry.
I'm still using the orginal crossover from the KLH speakers but I do not know it's specs. Right now the sub is a Kenwood KFC-W3005 12", Sensitivity:93db Peak power 700 watts, Impedance 4ohm, low Freq 25 HZ, high Freq 800 Hz. I'm still confused if the crossover would support the subwoofer. The mids are normal mirage 4", and 1"tweeters. Is their a better crossover design I should use? I do not have the material to do my own thats why I bought this one. My receiver is 100 WPC at 8ohms. Thanks Dan
P.S if anyone wants to build one for me I could find all speaker specs and send them.

Those xover specs tell you nothing. Those are just the specs for the inductors. By themselves, you can't tell anything about what that xover really does. Even with the values of the other components - without knowing how they were wired - it would be worthless.

Sorry

So I'm better off using whats in my KLH speaker since you can adjust the Mids/Highs. Thanks Alot.

What is in your speakers is a system that was designed to work with those drivers in that cabinet. That's probably going to be the optimal setup unless you want to get fancy and start replacing parts with identical values of 'better' ones.

I'd leave them alone as long as they're not malfunctioning.

Hey Dan,

I'm not really clear as to what your goal is in redoing your KLH speakers. Did the drivers wear out and need replacement, or are you looking to make an improvement on an already functional speaker?

Re-designing an existing speaker is often actually harder than building a new one completely from scratch.

I got these speakers from my Father-n-law and the drivers were shot. They are about 15yrs old but made with very good wood that I restained. He had already changed out the woofer to the Kenwood KFC series but the mids/highs were shot. So I figured I would just redo them. Thanks to all who replied.

If you have different drivers then that's a whole different story. The only reason I said to leave what you had was that I assumed (duh) that you had the original drivers - sorry.
