what should i set my crossover to my front speakers are JBL E50s and i have a BIC V-1000R sub(10 inch) right now i have the speaker size set to large and the cross over at 80 i set the size to small and didnt sound any diffrent my receiver is a ONKYO TX-SR 601

Set it to whatever sounds best to your ears.

If you can't tell a difference between Large and Small, then I would set them all to small. That will take some strain off of your receiver by letting the sub take care of eveything under 80Hz.

Most wiil tell you to set it to small with xover @ 80Hz.

Not only will that take some strain off the mains and the receiver, but it will also let you get smoother bass response by having the sub do it all and moving it around till you find the best spot - tough to do with mains.
