I saw this tonight and what a role. Jeff Bridges has been waiting all this time to be Bad Blake, the used up, drunked up, too long on the road country singer. This is a role not unlike The Wrestler, a weeper for guys that women might not get (why doesn't he just settle down and stop drinking?). Bridges also is excellent at singing his own parts and the music is exactly right for the flick. It's well worth seeing.
