Well I just bought CRANK. I'll make it short, NETFLIX. The production value is awfull, the sound is nothing to write home about, the acting leaves much to be desired. The movie comes in 16x9 widescreen 2.35:1 DVD screen format, it has Dolby Digital Sorround EX and "Family Friendly Audio" "enjoy the film without the usual expletives....should you wish". I don't know if playing the movie in this mode will also remove the sexual content (very little).

An included DVD titled: "Best Buy Bonus DVD" contains lame interviews with cast and crew. I bought the movie basically because I had 4.00 left in a gift card and I never saw it in the theater. Use your money somewhere else. I can't in good consience recommend this movie. It's just not that entertaining.

Wow, sounds like the review for Transporter 2 :D Not much expectation with a name like Crank LOL. Previews looked kinda weak.

The visual quality of the movie on blu-ray was outstanding in my opinion. But the movie itself was awful, and the sound was nothing to write home about.

I wish Jason Statham would do better movies than this. He is a good actor in my opinion. I can't believe Amy Smart played the part she did - she must be desperate for money or more exposure or something!!

Anyway, this movie gets worse the longer it goes on, and the final scene is one of the dumbest of all times I'd say. I guess I'll remember the movie for that anyway :( .

Ditto!

I think Statham is a good actor also, but when these guys start out they'll do any type of work to get noticed and launch their careers. Problem is that they get type cast into a certain role, i.e. Sean Bean, this guy plays either villains or someone of questionable character.:)

We're on the same page. Sean Bean is another great example of a good actor stuck in the wrong roles. These guys need to find the right role, like Clive Owen has done, to launch them to the next level. I though Statham was on his way after the Italian Job. He got a lead role in The Transporter, but doing a sequel of a mediocre movie is never a good career move.

Statham is great in Snatch. Everyone who hasn't seen it should rent it immediately for the great entertainment value it provides. "What are you afraid of, ze' Germans?" ;)

I share the same feelings as everyone, I thought maybe the movie might of been beter if it didnt end the way it did. Seriously they run you threw a bunch of crap that leads up to nothing.

Snatch was really good, too bad it didn't make it in the big screen.

That was one of the few films I have seen in a theater...

"Oh its tip-top Tommy, I just don't like the colour."

Tommy- "what's wrong with this one?"

Turkish opens caravan door and it falls off
"Oh nothin Tommy,...it's tiP toP...I'm just not sure about the colour."

Snatch is a very good movie, one of the few movies I have on SuperBit.:D

Well I watched Crank. I have to say that I am surprised that no one seemed to recognize this movie in any aspect. I haven't laughed that hard watching a movie in a long time, and definitely didn't laugh so hard I had to pause the movie in a very long time. I loved the comedic approach. Is the story strong? no, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the movie.

In my opinion, the movie was well thought out. Cinematographry was pretty good. The sound wasn't awe inspiring, but not bad all things considered. And the as far as the ending, it could have been better executed but this movie wasn't intended to be serious.

I give it 3/5 for being so darn funny.:)

Heeey Seth,

You are a generous bloke! Soooo you're saying this was a comedy of sorts? Goodfellas had great funny parts, but it never billed itself as a comedy. The ad campaign for Crank never hinted to comedy, just an adrenaline rush.;)

As much funny stuff there was in it I find it most fitting considering the film's present situation for it to be labled as Action/Comedy. I never had to stop the Goodfellas because I was laughing too hard.

So you were laughing AT the movie, not WITH it.:D

This movie sucked. Major disappointment - can't believe Jason S even did it. It was pretty obvious to me that the director/producers were deviants.
