Ok guys Ive narrowed it down to a couple of choices....Let me know what your opinions are of each set up and why one is better then the other or if you think I should change anything. I set out with a budget of $1000 so I cant spend any more then what I have below or if I even want to spend over the $1000.

Here are the cheapest prices I found for the speakers and the totals underneath them with the different combos I could choose from. The prices are costs SHIPPED to my door.

Option 1.

Infinity Primus
P362 Towers- $436
P350 Center - $195
P162 Booksleves - $215
ED A2-300 - $350

Total
$1196

Option 2.

P252 Towers - $288
P250 Center - $130
P152 Surrounds - $159
P142 Surrounds - $138

Total
P252, P250, P142 - $906
P252, P250, P152 - $927

Option 3.

C1 Center - $80
S1 Surrounds - $140

Out of the choices you listed, I like the first option the best. I have a 5.1 Infinity set sitting around collecting dust. I have the 250's, C25, and 150's. Same speakers in your second option, just the previous model. They worked well for my first HT setup. If I hadn't upgraded my music system and shifted my Paradigms to the HT, I'd still be using them. I also had a pair of the Synergy F-3's for my fronts for a while. I'd give the F-3's a slight edge over the 250's for theater use (I know the F2's are more in your price range).

Basically I like the first option because the 362's have a fairly good reputation and you can add bracing to the cabinets to improve the sound further. I think your second and third options are pretty comparable. I'd go with the F2 over the F1 if you go the Klipsch route. Too bad you're not in Wisconsin or I'd offer my Infinity set for about half of the comparable set you're looking at. Don't have the boxes anymore, so I won't ship them.

But do you think the first option is worth $300 more then the second option?

One thing I've learned in this hobby is that spending more up front can often save you money later due to the desire to upgrade. I didn't have the cash for the 360's when I first bought my original set-up. I always wished I had. You'll have to decide for yourself if the extra $300 is worth it. You could always start with a 3.1 system and add the surrounds when the cash becomes available.

Oppman - I am in Wisconsin! <hint>
I have been spending time hear because now that I have my Oppo-83, I know the next thing is to upgrade the center and two fronts that I'm running on the RX-V657.

I've been looking at the Klipsch line, but unlike my01ws6, I'm not considering the Synergy, but I'm leaning toward the Reference series in particular the RC-52 and RF-52 towers. I did a quick listen of the Klipsch Reference vs Polk and the Klipsch Reference won out for my ears. How would the Infinity Primus my01ws6 has listed stack up against the Klipsch Reference? I also see a lot of people bring up the SVS brand. Thoughts?

I'm focusing on a very good, balanced front 3 setup as I have some decent speakers I can use in back for a 5.1. But I have a tall room - 17 ft flat ceiling with a 2nd floor balcony hanging out into the room plus a brick fireplace in the middle of the right hand wall from floor to ceiling. Not the best for accoustics but it's what I have to work with.

my01ws6 - I agree with Oppman's opinion that it is better to spend up a bit now in order to have it last longer and cause you to resist the urge to upgrade.

I'm in a similar boat where my speakers need upgrading. They are way behind the receiver I have and the other equipment. The KLH center worked ok when I wanted to get an inexpensive 3.1 going when I lived 70 miles from the nearest McDonalds and the internet was still accessed via dialup. I digress...

The point I am getting to and other's make in other threads is to consider focussing on the two fronts and the center. That is the predominant sound for home theatre. Get those right first, you can always upgrade the rears later as they do not carry the sound load. Unless you have little kids that like to poke holes in things, get something that is going to last you a good long time. Then you can always start socking away $10 a month for an upgrade 10 or 15 years down the road. $10 a month for an upgrade 15 years later is a nice chunck of change and who knows what will be available then.

You can get them here for less than that - they come on sale often for $129 and even once had them for $99 - you cart (no shipping). Give them a week or three and they will be on sale once again.
Not sure what the shipping charges are - put a pair in the shopping cart and see.
