Ok this is for my den 22x22 8' high ceiling.

Primarily for watching movies and TV, hardly music. I am setting up a 5.1 system and could use some help with what i have or possibly upgrading.

what i have currently:

Receiver - Onkyo TX NR727

Fronts - Sound Dynamics RTS-9

Center - Definitive Tech ProCenter 2000 (just purchased this haven't heard it could be returned But space is a problem with center for it to fit i only have 17" width or need to be low to fit under flat screen and then width wouldn't matter.)

Rears - JBL LOFT 50 (could replace)

Sub - Need recommendations on this as I do not have one. (Budget $300-$500)

All I'll say is that it's gonna be hard to improve on those RTS-9's. But, you could throw us a bone here as to what you expect to spend for the main five speakers.

As for subs, the go to answer is look at the offerings from Hsu and SVS.

I don't necessarily need to upgrade those. I was just getting feed back as to what i currently have and if i should upgrade the stuff i have.

the 300-500 budget was for SUB only.

The center speaker was just ordered and should be here Wednesday. that was $315

If i was going to upgraded the main front i would say budget would be $1500 for a pair.

i am just curious as to feed back on what i have and if its good.. I have no idea on stereo equipment.

Well, you got my opinion on the fronts. ;)

As for the center, I dunno. Generally they SHOULD match the fronts but, since thev have been out of production for about 15 years, you have to see how well your new center plays wit them. It's good brand, though.

Rears, for HT are less critical than the front three since they are generally called upon for ambiance and the occasional gunshot or laser blast.

As for subs? Hsu or SVS.
