Boy I'm glad they didn't issue tazer to cops back when I was growing up. My dad would have done it to me every day just to make sure I didn't forget.

Wow that's insane. There is no need to taze a 10 year old. Tazers are meant to be an alternative to deadly force not a suppression device. This is another example of misuse.

Spare the rod and spoil the child.

While this might be a case of being extreme opposite from the "absolutely no corporal punishment" tendancy prevlent in the US today, I honestly believe that some of the fear based parenting (spankings and the threat of) is still required and the solution of the whole mess with children, teens and young adults behaving like they do today.

We simply can't put our children in overprotective cocoons while putting our teachers and the Education System in a straight jacket and expect them to turn out normal.

I've ssen some kids where tazing was too good for em. I heard yesterday about a kid who called 911 because his folks took away his X-Box as punsihment and the kid felt the parents didn't have that right.....stupid kid.

It seems there is no middle ground in this country any more we go from one extreme to the other from child worship to child abuse what is wrong with people. Children are the reflection of their parents if the kids act like idiots most likely the parents are idiots too. Far too often parents look for some else to blame for their kid's stupidity and on the other side you have parents who beat their kid's for no apparent reason. This lady who had the cop tazed her kid is not worthy of the title of mother she just a woman who happen to get pregnant, And as for that cop he is moron you mean there was no other way to control a 10 year old girl. Now for the guy who shot his son for molesting his sister I'll use a line my Dad used on me and my brother*Better to lose one to save the other*
