Cooling my receiver (one last question)

Hello once again! OK I decided to go the USB fan route and bought one of them for now. I have it sitting on top of the receiver exhausting air. It seems to be doing a good job right now where it is and the receiver isn't hot to the touch anymore. So does anyone think another fan blowing air in on the side even necessary? I can post pics if you want.

It appears that your receiver is not overheating...so why would extra cooling be necessary?

Though I would agree with Johnd, I started using a dual fan in/out setup on my Carver reciever which ran hot and would shut down before the use of the fans. 20 years later, this 150w rms reciever still CRANKS!

Well there is only about 4 inches of space for the fan to exhaust the air out of the top so that is why I'm wondering if it would be better to exhaust on the side. So I dunno I guess it is not really a big deal. I was thinking maybe this fan is just going to recirculate the hot air back in.

If after a couple hours of running the sides and rear are still cool enough to touch, you should be OK.
