All;

The first person that can get a full page up on Wikipedia permanently to describe the Audioholics website (including links to this site), I've got a mint condition Emotiva UPA-7 amplifier I'd happily ship to you.

Here is some info and history on this website for your reference:
About Audioholics — Reviews and News from Audioholics

  • I'd like to see a history of the site, what we do, our mission statement, and also mention our vast readership (1 million+ monthly readers).
  • Perhaps even pointing to our stringent testing procedure of amplifiers and subwoofers (using CEA 2010 and beyond).
  • Feel free to ask questions here to help you organize a concise posting.
  • This has to be a permanent listing for us and not something that stays on their site for a few days. The posting has to be there for a minimum of 30 days to be legit.
  • I'd like the write up to be fairly comprehensive (at least 1k words) and including our logo would also be a bonus.
  • Also you have to have US residence to ship to.
  • submit your entry here so you can be sure to receive proper credit if it's taken by Wiki

PS. It would be a real bonus if you can get us linked up and references on this page too:

Thanks.

Dang that Lexicon listing is still the primary reason today why you won't find Harman ads on this site. Too bad that happened but its not our fault they shoehorned an Oppo into their own chassis and claimed otherwise until they sent us a review sample and we wrote that article. We are actually big fans of MOST of Harman's products and I'm about to publish an Infinity P363 review which is pretty positive.

+1 Harman has a lot of great value products including the LSR 6332s but that Lexioppo...is not one of them. It shows a lack of integrity that there were not even any significant modifications made.

Great job, Grant!
The one I submitted is still in the approval queue behind 700+ other articles (was about 900 a week ago). Looks like someone secretly beat me to it or used a less time consuming process. Congrats to whoever did get their article past the wikipedia moderation though!

Yes it was Wayde! I just hope it has staying power. Also, what is to stop some heckler from completely editing and destroying it? It seems anyone can edit a Wiki page once its online.
Yes this is true, but Wiki core Editors have the final say in moderation process.
To survive such editorial process Imo - First of all it needs much more references - both good and bad ones to other than audioholics.com web sites...

p.s: Sorry Wayde, I misspelled your name before :)

I'm a wikipedia editor in good standing, I've never had a page deleted on me yet.

I have dug through pages that use the word Audioholics in the clear text (not in reference) on the article and linked it back to the Audioholics wiki article.

If you guys see any more please let me know, I'll link it.

Wiki/Audioholics is on my watch list so I'd be notified if someone vandalized it or removed it, I can restore it to its former glory.

The trick is to NOT write so it sounds like marketing and build/edit pages to make Wikipedia better. I think I accomplished this with a fair article about the website.
