Considering making a move to a bigger TV

Been using my Hitachi 55" plasma for years, starting to get the itch. Have satellite internet, so Smart Tv not on top of list, but probably will move someday. 3D - could go either way on this one. Can a TV be to big any more - I mean sitting to close ration from back in the day. Does that still hold true or not. Anyway, I am seriously considering the Sharp, but threw in the Vizio for an option. Price point, under 4k$
Thoughts? Not B&H necessarily, just a jumping off point.

Plasma is still revered and a lot of us who own them, have little interest in 4k. But when you start talking sizes such as this, a pull down screen and projector might be more up your alley. I've seen Epson's more modest model, the 8350, and thought it spectacular. If your budget is higher, I've heard nothing but good things of their high end models, which cap out I believe at $3500. Just factor ceiling mount and a screen, and a long HDMI cable(s).

So if you have a seating distance that allows something larger than 80", you can keep your great TV for regular use, and then close the shades and pop some corn!

Not to derail your thoughts, if a big TV is what you want, I think either would be a heckuva experience! They are new though, shop by manufacturer warranty info too!
