Considering a stand-alone CD player for the HT - suggestions?

I'm looking into beefing up the H/T rack with a stand alone CD-Player and I'm looking for suggestions. Keep the price-range "manageable" and the ability to do SACD isn't a deal-breaker, but I'm certainly interested in it. I would also like something with both stereo out AND digital out. Thanks for all suggestions!

I thought many of the mid-to-high end Blu-Ray players made excellent transports. I could be wrong though but since this is for your HT a all-in-one player would be ideal I think.

These guys nailed it. If you are objective about your rig, the standalone cd is dead. If playing sacd is what you are looking to do, a Universal BluRay player is the way to go. Otherwise the transport in a blu ray player will read the zeros and ones just as well as the cd player.

If you are being subjective, what is the budget? The cool factor of a top loader is nice. Rega Apollos and Saturns are available used. Cambridge Audio makes some nice gear. Here is a Quad player that at least has some other function to it, like usb and a volume control. I would buy used off Audiogon.
