Hi all,

Here will be my simple connection cables setup:

Xbox360 - (Out) Component video cable to plasma, (Out) digital optical cable to A/V Receiver

CableHDtuner box - (Out) HDMI cable to plasma, (Out) digital optical cable to A/V Receiver

A/V Receiver - (In) digital optical cable from 360, (In) digital optical cable from cableHDtuner box

Plasma - (In) Component cable from 360, (In) HDMI cable from CableHDtuner box

My question(s):

Am I missing anything at all?

Would there be any advantage of running the component cables from 360 through my A/V Receiver (instead) and then additional component cables out from Receiver and into the plasma? There are all these component video ins on this receiver that I wonder what the advantage or need is for them?

Thanx in advance,

-Tiffany

The only reason you would need to run video to the receiver is if you want to switch it with the receiver. If you are only going to use one component connection from the 360, then there's nothing to switch and no reason to run it through the receiver.
