I have a Phillips 47inch Ambilight 2 1080p LCD TV. I also have a Yamaha 630W 7.1 Receiver (RX-V661BL), Sony Upconvert DVD (DVPNS75H) and a Series 3 HD TIVO.
My question is that my TV has 3 HDMI connections and the Receiver has 3 HDMI connections. The DVD and TIVO both have only one. So in order to maximize the HD video and audio which set up is optimal for connections. HDMI from TV to TIVO and HDMI to DVD for video and optical from TIVO and DVD to Receiver for audio? Also, does it matter which HDMI and optical cables I use?
