Basically new at this game, so I'll apologize in advance for what may seem like an ignorant question. I'm sorry.

I am in the process of finishing my basement, and HT section. I have run the speaker wire to designated spots and now it's time for the sub wires. I bought a 500' roll of 12 ga. speaker wire because it was only $5 more than the 250' roll. I now have about 150' left over. Can I use this wire for the sub, and just put my own RCA's on the end? Or am I better off using RG-6?
Or is better to order a cable from BJC or Monoprice?

It's better to use a shielded 75-ohm cable than unshielded speaker wire. The speaker wire might be okay (it has worked for some people who already had speaker wire and wanted to try it on their subs), but you run the risk of having interference that will cause a hum in the sub.

I believe that all you cables are concealed and you definitely don,t want to run speaker cable for your sub, your choice or RCA is just fine, stick with it.
