Connection to house system humming noise

When I connect my mixer to the house system (bose jukebox system) I get a low hum from their speakers. I am not plugged into the same outlet as their equipment. Could it be that I need to be? I get no hum from my own speakers. Only when I connect to their house a,b,c, box from my board.

Just kidding (previous post - not too many Bose fans around here just so you know ), sounds like you simply have a ground loop issue. Try plugging everything into the same electrical circuit, if not the same outlet or power strip.

Are you talking about a touchtunes system? Is the jukebox system the preamp? Does it hum when all electronics are off?

check your connections... also does the jukebox system use di cat5 boxes?

No hum from the touchtunes. Only when I switch to my mixer through a,b,c switch which has no noise of it's own when connected to my speakers Bose stick L1 series 2 which has it's own amplifier built in to the base unit. The touchtunes system has it's own amplifier so all I am sending is a signal to the amp in the touchtunes.

Sounds like a ground loop.
Get everything plugged into the same power source, even if you need an extension cord, and power strip.
