I think you asked somewhere else but power is logaritmic and you probably don't need 125 RMS. It is only 10% more power than 80 rms.
The key thing you need to look for is an AVR receiver that can take component input and produce HDMI output. A lot of lower level AVRs cannot do this. A good receiver to do this is the Okyo SR606 .
Buy a longer HDMI cable rather than trying to couple two shorter cables together.
