Connection question

Hey guys picked up an RX-V1700 last week and received my cables today from monoprice. I will be hooking this up with a new Yamaha DVD player tomorrow (DVD-C950) along with an Xbox-360 and a Motorola Hi-Def DVR cable box. I will be taking my RX-V2500 and putting it in the BR. My main question came up when looking in the manual for the 1700. It made a statement that said "This receiver may not function with non HDCP devices with DVI interface . Being an early adopter of Hi-Def TV my Hitachi has only a DVI connection no HDMI. I obviously have a HDMI to DVI cable but has anyone ever had issues with this type of connection scheme? I will be running (right now anyway) the DVD player HDMI in along with multi-channel in, The 360 and cable box I will still run component in but I wish to use the HDMI to DVI cable for TV connection out of the receiver. Should I expect any real issues? The receiver is HDMI 1.2a series. Any help would really be appreciated, and thanks.

I think the need for HDCP on the TV only comes into play when you have a source device that uses HDCP.

The DVD player and XBox almost certainly don't use HDCP as they don't send high-def content. The cable box probably does if you connect it via HDMI but since you are going to use component, I don't think it will be a problem.
